Monday was Kate’s night out. This year’s date was much different that those in the past. First of all we had to go early because she wanted to get home early to have game night with there friends. Just call me chopped liver.
The second reason was because Kate ACTUALLY wanted to shop. Normally this kid gets her shopping done as quickly so she can move on to the fun stuff…picking out her treat. This year we actually bought more for Kate than any of the other girls. This kid finally has a strong opinion about what she will be wearing and now that her body is starting to change it’s time for us to realize that all three of our girls have vastly different body shapes. That means that hand me downs just aren’t going to work any more! (Well, at least we had a good run. 11 years of mostly enjoying the things her sister passed on is pretty darn good!)
I’m thinking this is all pointing to the fact that we have three teenagers in the house now. Lord help us!
Here are Kate’s answers to our annual questions:
What are you most looking forward to? Kate is most looking forward to going back to middle school. She loves moving from class to class and seeing friends all through the day.
What are you most worried about? Nothing! According to Kate school is awesome and she fears nothing.
All of this is pointing to an exciting, fashionable, fearless year. Well at least that part is still the same!
