Yesterday I started teaching a class for kids attending The Hutch School. These kids go to school here while a family member is being treated at Fred Hutch or SCCA. I had about 12 middle and high schoolers but that number could change from week to week.
The real challenge for me will be putting together lessons that are stand alone so kids can get useful information out of each week even if they weren’t there the week before.
I thought that I would share these lessons each week just in case you wanted to follow along. This was week 1:
The school purchased some great little cameras so we also went over the functions that were specific to the camera and how you change them (white balance, color choices, etc.). At the end of class we had a great time heading out to the park to start using what they are learning. I can’t wait to see some of the pictures they come up with this week!
