Last week Kate got her ears pierced. Getting your ears pierced is a rite of passage I this family. So there was no known date for ear piercing to happen. We just had to patiently wait. Boy was that hard for Kate so hard that as soon as the big moment happened she wanted to go get her ears done. Nevermind that it would be easier to wait for Christmas break…or even a weekend. This kid just could not wait one minute more!
She was researched everything on line and even though there were a thousand choices for earrings she had them all picked out before we even got to Claires. She picked these great Make A Wish blue stars and the best part is $5 goes to that orgainziation. Nice choice!
Part of her research was to ask all her friends and sisters how much it hurt. That helped her put on her brave face. Seriously, not even a flinch from this kid. She was clearly relieved afterward but she was amazingly brave during the whole process.
Afterward we met Allen for dinner out and then headed home to find this sign waiting for us. Pretty sure THAT is another rite of passage. They have all made this sign for eachother.
Congratulations Kate! Welcome to the big club!
