The first part of our spring break began on the run. We arrived at 1:30 in the morning on Saturday because we wanted to maximize our time with the cousins. For the first time in many years (so many I can’t remember!) our spring break did not sync up with my sister’s family. Boo!
That’s okay, we had lots of fun on our one day in the pool and out to dinner with those guys. Did I get any pictures of us all together? Nope. In fact, I didn’t take many pictures at all. It was just a weird year all together.
What we DID do a lot of was reading…and swimming… and playing cards. And that was awesome! At least 8 books were demolished amongst the four of us. (We don’t count Mr. Fun because he’s a magazine guy.)
We played a ton of cards. My Mom was so happy because she loves to play games and finally we were into it too! It only took 46 years. Sorry Mom! Our favorites were Wizard and Five Crowns.
Plenty of pool time. Mr. Fun and the girls smashed their Pool Olympics record with 62 pools jumped into in a single afternoon. Every year I get questions about this. No, they are not running through backyards and jumping into private pools. (Although that would have been a lot faster! Ha!) All of these pools were community pools. Even though they are just jumping in and out it still took them about 3 hours. (We know there are even more than that in the neighborhood so next year the record can be broken again.)
While they were gone I thoroughly enjoyed having our pool all to myself.
Mom helped us out by taking some family pictures of us and I got a few of the girls. I love how these turned out!
At the end of our trip my Mom’s sister, Murielle, arrived. I am so thankful that we got a chance to hang out with her. She lives in Montreal so we don’t get to see her very often!
It’s hard to take a selfie with seven people!
Here are a few more random pictures of our fun too…
Stay tuned for our Spring Break Part 2, a totally different kind of fun!
