The last two months have gone by in a blur! I’ve been meaning to catch up on summer fun that has not made the blog yet and here it is. I’ve enjoyed reliving all our summer fun!
The Pride Parade – This is the first time we’ve gone to this event. I have never been to a parade that was so much fun. Everybody was so happy and carefree. We will do this again!
Game Time – We spent so much time playing games this summer. Jill has always been into games but now we are ALL in on the fun. Our favorites were Five Crowns, Wizard, Catan and Seven Wonders.
Silhouettes – My favorite models helped me try out a new location before I tried it out on Jill and Colin for their senior pictures. So thankful they are willing to be creative with me!
Suncadia Fun – We managed to make it up to Suncadia at the beginning and end of the summer. Biking and hiking and hanging out. Love the family time! Allen and I even managed to sneak a date day in together by driving up for the day together
Hiking – I didn’t get to hike quite as much as I wanted but I did manage to get a memorable one in with Joelle and her boys at the end of the summer. Cooper loves hiking because he has two little lakes he loves to swim in. Unbeknownst to us, the lake love was VERY low. Can you say mudfest? Ugh! Not sure the back of my car will ever be the same.
Blue Lakes – We have not been able to join in on this fun for the past two years but this year we made it! We joined three other families (all of us adults college friends) for swimming and talking and eating and singing. It was a great weekend!
Mom’s Birthday – This year for Mom’s birthday we surprised her with the best gift we could think of. Tim and Joelle and I secretly flew Tim home from southern California for the weekend. We all made sure we arrived before Mom and had the grandkids bring out her special present. She was so surprised and so happy. It felt so good to give that to her!
The Huskies – We forgot to take a picture at the first Husky football game of the season but we managed to get one at the second game. We brought our football loving Ellie along with us. It is so great to share this passion with her!
Fun with Mr. Fun- We celebrate our anniversary this month. (Stating the obvious here since we ALWAYS celebrate our anniversary in September!) This year I treated myself to a new ring. A few years ago I started having allergic reactions to my wedding ring. I even upgraded to try to fix the problem but no dice. I love Mr. Fun and I love being married to him so I decided to get a tattoo ring so I could have that symbol back. I love it! On our actual anniversary we went to a Casino Night fundraiser for our school district. It’s fun to dress up!
