But some of us couldn’t keep a straight face. The girls really wanted to do this uber serious picture for our blog post but SOME of them just couldn’t do it. They couldn’t stop laughing!
The second part of spring break this year was spent with the Enebos. Allen’s sister, Deana, was marrying an awesome guy (Hi Wade!) and we were thrilled to come help put the wedding on! The Enebos are DIY sort of folks so 90% of this wedding was done by them. It was amazing!
We arrived at the church early on Friday morning to find a whole tribe of people working together to transform the space. It was incredible how many people were enthusiastically working to build an arch or rearrange the space, or iron the linens or hang lights. Because Wanda was so organized it only took a couple hours.
After the church we had a chance to hang out with all of the family that was in town for the wedding while we worked on the flowers. When the bride and groom and Dean and Wanda went to the church for the rehearsal, Mr. Fun, the girls and I took a crew over to the community center to set up for the rehearsal dinner. We were in charge of decorations while other friends were in charge of the kitchen. Want to know how DIY this was? Wade (the groom!) did all the cooking for the rehearsal dinner. He is a real foodie so it was incredible!
We had it all pulled together by the time everybody arrived. The food was fantastic, the friends were amazing and the band was incredible.
Mr. Fun was the Master of Ceremony. Let’s be honest folks, his regular volume is so loud that he didn’t even NEED the microphone! He did a great job getting the stories started.
Here are just a few of the pictures I got from that night. The bride and groom in the random throne that came with the space…
Sisters!
We got our baby fix because Deana’s good friend Melissa brought along her 3 month old baby Cade. One isn’t a baby person, one was a bit nervous and one was in her happy place!
Rootbeer Floats were on the menu so the girls manned that station.
So much dancing…so much ‘white man’s overbite’…
Saturday was a ‘rinse and repeat’ day. Back to the church early for more set up and final preparations. I hardly took my camera out all day because Dean and Wade hired some awesome wedding photographers. (They had a slideshow of pictures playing by the end of the wedding and they were fantastic!) Here are the only two pictures I got right before the ceremony.
I did, however, have to capture my family looking so good all dressed up! (A big thanks to Uncle Johnny for taking the family pictures for us.)
Woo hoo! That was an awesome spring break. I think we might need a vacation to recover from our vacation.
