Jackie and Chris make beautiful babies. Seriously, they all make my job so easy because I almost just have to push the button. Their beauty, inside and out, just shines through! It’s almost not fair that they are so nice. While I was working on these pictures my girls came over to look over my shoulder. They both agreed that Jaylen has the best smile and I do too! It takes over his face and goes right to his eyes. He said that the school has made him retake his pictures numerous times because you couldn’t see his eyes but I think that is the best part. If a smile doesn’t make it to my subject’s eyes I know I have work to do because it isn’t authentic!
Unfortunately Chris was out of town when I took their pictures but we had to squeeze Jaylen’s senior session in between HIS crazy schedule and the date his sister was leaving for HER sophomore year in college. (You can see Alaya’s senior pictures here.) Jaylen was pretty adamant about waiting until the very end of summer for his session because he wants to soak his freedom up as long as possible and, in his eyes, taking senior pictures is just the beginning of his senior year. I loved driving around with Jalyen from location to location because he is very charming and very chatty. So easy to hang out with! He is a super talented bass player (think Orchestra, not rock band) and he also loves running track. That is narrowing down his college choices and making him think about what is most important to him. (As he said, ‘One of these things, bass or track, is probably just going to become a hobby.’) I love his thoughtful approach to his search!
Here are my favorite pictures…
