I remember Kate had a playdate with a good friend when she was three. These girls were having a great time but Kate leaned to her friend and whispered (loudly) ‘Stop having fun so our playdate can last longer!’ (Because time flies when you are having fun.)
That’s kind of how I feel about the fact that Jill is a senior. Yup, I said it. Jill is in her last year of school before she heads off to college. On one hand I want to stop all this fun and savor every last minute of it, but on the other I am looking forward to her new adventures and I really do love embracing each new stage my kids go through. (Okay, that’s a lie. I didn’t really embrace the terrible twos or the loss of nap time.)
I am not going to get all sappy with this post because I’m going to save that up for the end of the year. That’s a better time for reflection. Right now we are still looking ahead to all the fun that will happen this year and all the fun that is happening right now.
It was great to collaborate with Jill and Colin on these pictures. They were enthusiastic about the locations and Jill didn’t kick and scream too much about the clothes and accessories. (Colin, on the other hand, happily took all my clothing and accessory suggestions. I think we will keep him!)
