It hardly seems like it is time for school shopping. That always signals the impending end of summer and I can’t believe it is time already! We started the annual school shopping nights with Ellie this year.
Our evening began with dinner and a quick stop for PE shoes. Let’s get the boring stuff out of the way!
Next we stopped at the Goodwill on Ellie’s request. We were hoping for a deal but only found a ring for me. We did NOT go home with this gem!
Next we hit the mall for some real shopping. Very specifically Ellie was looking for red jeans (she needed blue too) so we needed to hit quite a few stores to find just the right pair. I spent a lot of the evening watching Ellie do this:
I guess her jeans will be perpetually rolled so we had to make sure they looked just right before we got them! Ellie also needed a few new shirts. Given our new obsession with all things superheros this was a no brainer.
As is our regular tradition, the girls also get to pick out a little treat too. Ellie was looking at the necklaces but only until she found this ring. If she hadn’t gotten it I might have!
Finally, since dinner was so early we had to stop for a quick hit of this.
I asked Ellie what she was most looking forward to and said it was being in yearbook class. She is most worried about her science teacher. It’s going to be a good year!
