I’m sure there are some good Catholics out there that can give me some background. What does IHS mean? Last weekend we went to Reese’s first communion party and the spread there was beautiful. The napkins and cake and white chocolate candies all matched and two out of three were home made. (Joe was not slaving away at making paper napkins with Reese’s name on them!) They all had IHS written on the communion wafer that was being dipped into the chalice. What does this mean? I am going to assume that it doesn’t mean Issaquah High School. How’s that for drawing conclusions?
Reese was beautiful in her dress and we were honored to help her celebrate this big step in her life. Just as an aside, Reese’s dress and veil caused a fair bit of envy and there was definitely some coveting happening over on this side of the fence. I guess WE will have to say a few Hail Mary’s too. Here are just a few shots she let me take before she changed into her bright purple ‘I’m God’s Girl!’ t-shirt.
