This weekend we did a lot of hanging out and cleaning up. It was pouring here for most of the three days so we had plenty of indoor time. One of the things I did was clean out the beastly black armoire in our dining room/den (we don’t eat there so we made it into a den). I have it all set up for packaging my photos. It’s got my stickers and ribbon hanging neatly. All of my boxes are stacked and ready to go. All of the cellophane bags I use are in their own slots. Even the envelopes are all organized. I really love getting organized and it’s a good time for that because I am just moving into my busy season. I’m sure it isn’t going to look this good again until January!
While I was cleaning out said armoire we decided to ditch the laptops that have been sitting in there for years. These aren’t even our ‘last’ computers (the one before the one I use everyday). They were a few generations ago and we had to do some Macgyvering to get the information off them. (Gum anybody?)
It was fun checking out all the old images I had left out there. (Don’t think badly of me. I’m pretty sure I had those files saved somewhere else on a CD!) Most of these are scans that I did of the film negatives I had at the time. That’s why the quality is so stinky. But I had to share anyway because my babies have changed so much.
How did that happen?
This one is Ellie. One of my all time favorites, not sure why. (I always had it title in my head ‘Catching Flies.’)
Clearly this is Jill. Look at the curly girlie!
Miss Kate. Nice use of selective color. That was actually done by hand before I scanned it. Yikes!
Miss Ellie again. She’s been fancy since she was 12 months old.
Jilly jam (what I used to call her). I made those cherry pants. I’m sure she will hate me for them later.
Katie Cat. Can you tell she’s a third kid? She’s got chocolate on her face and who knows what on her dress!
As much as I love these pictures (because I love the subjects) it sure is nice to see how far I’ve come in my photography!
