Carrie and I have known each other for more than 10 years, and though we have not talked much in the last few years, I was thrilled to receive and email from her in late August. Not only thrilled, but honored because Carrie was getting remarried and she was hoping I would be able to photograph the wedding. Oh, did I mention that this request also terrified me? Not only do I NOT do weddings, but I also don’t use any flash or light modifiers and this was a wedding, at night, in an beautiful venue (The Ruins) with no windows. I never even hesitated when Carrie asked me, though, because I love her.
In fact, Carrie and Broh found their musicians, cake decorator and officiant the same way. Talk about a labor of love!
Without further ado, her are my favorite pictures from this special day…
This last picture requires a little explanation. During the reception friends and family members would randomly stand up and give a toast to Carrie and Broh. This picture is of Broh’s four boys toasting the couple. Before this evening I had never met Broh, but if the way he raised these boys is any measure of the man then Carrie is a very lucky woman!
