Fast and furious pretty much describes Kate’s shopping technique.  That girl knows what she wants and we enter a store we go Bam Bam Bam and we are done.  The first store we went to we browsed, she tried on 9 different items, we bought five, paid all within 20 minutes.  Not bad.

It took longer to drive to the next store than it did to try on and buy our items.  We did, however, spend a bit of time picking out new sneakers for PE.  You can’t be too careful there!

Finally, we ended up at Target where she picked up a rockin’ pair of silver shoes to complete her look.  Silver clearly goes with blue hair!

Now the answers to the key questions:

What are you most looking forward to?  Having a locker of her own.

What are you most worried about?  Friends – She is worried about not having friends in her classes, not having friends near her locker and not having friends at lunch.

Knowing this kid and how the school works Kate is going to be just fine.  She will fit right in and even thrive the fast and furious pace of middle school.  It’s going to be a good year!
