So tolerant. That’s all I can say about our pooch Cooper. This dog is so loyal to me that he will do almost anything for me. Including wearing silly glasses. Please note that I did show some self control. I did not give him a any sort of scar even though that would have made a much more convincing portrayal. Don’t worry, he was paid handsomely for his pain. Nothing a few Milkbones can’t cover!
This year we are all about Harry Potter. Jill has shared her love for this book series for a couple of years so the younger girls knew all about the characters, but since May they’ve been reading them and seeing for themselves how great the stories are. They all wanted to be Hogwarts students this year and the costumes have already gotten a ton of wear starting with THIS incredible party. (Yes, I played the part of Colin Creevey.)
Yesterday I documented a bit of dualing practice so the girls could get into character.
Jill decided to be Ginny Weasley. (Ginny with curly hair.) She decided that the robes she wore two years ago would be perfect because they would look somewhat small and a bit worse for wear which is really in character for the Weasleys. Those guys are always handing down robes and books and things between the many siblings.
Kate is Hermione Granger. A smarty pants with a fierce fighting look. (At least according to Kate.)
Ellie’s favorite character is Luna Lovegood. Please note the dirigible plum earrings and nargle charm necklace. Oh, and of course Luna’s fabulous eyewear. (BTW – the crazy converse shoes are actually written into the story!)
Finally a few fun, girl power, group shots…
Finally an outtake. The weather was rainy and blustery when I was taking these pictures. This picture cracks me up because of Jill’s hair…
Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
