Last Wednesday was Jill’s shopping night and it highlighted just how old I am. We started our trip at Hollister where we’d been warned to watch out for the images on the walls. Not only that, but we couldn’t even take a shopping bag from there because I didn’t want my 12 year old to carry a bag that had a picture of a nearly naked man on it. This was after I got past the terrible lighting (forget about taking any pictures in the store) and the loud music. Yeah, yeah. Like I said. I’m just old! (This is Jill not looking at the pictures on the walls.)
Jill needed a little bit of everything because she doesn’t really have the benefit of hand me downs. Because of this we needed to be budget conscious so we ended up getting most of our goodies at Aeropostale with their friends and family discount. Gotta love that 30% off!
Our evening started early with dinner at Jill’s favorite restaurant, Azteca, but since we had a couple of hours of loud music and skinny jeans under our belt, we needed a little pick me up. You have no idea how excited we are that a serve yourself and top yourself yogurt place has finally opened up. This gave us enough energy to hit one more mall to try and finish up.
This year Jill thinks the school work will be harder but figuring out how to the whole middle school thing works will be much easier. I told her that she was probably right and that she might, ACK, even get a B this year. You should have seen the look of disgust on her face. That’s my girl!
This last picture was taken by Jill. She said her favorite part of the evening was listening to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows audio book during our car rides. Now THAT’s my girl!
