Birthday pictures are a critical part of our birthday traditions. I love seeing how my girls change every year. Jill’s birthday often sneaks up on us and since this year it is on a Saturday that meant that we had one weekend (last weekend) to take the pictures. And since the weather was horrible (think ark building rain and wind) we had one, one hour window. 10am on Saturday. I couldn’t believe we actually got THAT break.
I thought of one park that might be protected enough for pictures on such a yucky day so we headed out. We were dodging tree limbs and downed power lines, but we were determined. I’m so glad we powered through. We got some really fun pictures.
Miss Jill tends to be more serious and does not like to have the lime light focused on her. In years past it was even hard to get her to look into the camera. She is really coming into her own. Jill is having a great freshman year at high school. She is trying honors classes for the first time and she is enjoying the challenge. We also asked Jill to get involved with her school. She is not much for sports but she did decide to start a new club – the Random Acts of Kindness Club. So awesome!
Tomorrow night we will be having her best buds in for an night of games and geeky tv shows. I love that she has found her posse! Stay tuned for pictures of the fun next week.
For now, enjoy my favorites…
One more because I adore how much her laugh transforms her whole face! Joy!
