We are the lucky ones. We are the ones who are and can figure out how to work (ok, not me but my hubby and daughter) online, do school online, and volunteer online. We are lucky enough to be bored sometimes and enjoy our new found time together and laughs around the dinner table.
We’ve done online scavenger hunts, played games, gardened, baked, (SO. MUCH. BAKING.) done arts and crafts, watched movies, concerts and shows. We’ve done social distancing picnics with family (no closer than 6 feet) to check in and see how they are doing. We’ve read books, exercised, potty trained a puppy and played whack a mole with grocery store pick up times.
To mix things up a bit, yesterday, we decided to go on a field trip. And because we like photography we decided to make a game of it. We dressed up in our most cliche (for us) instagram type outfits and found backgrounds to match. The point was to make cliche pictures of our own…so if they look similar to what you’ve seen online the good. We did our job right!
What we didn’t anticipate on our trip was the AMAZING street art popping up all around Pioneer Square. It’s incredible! Since it was sunny we could only use bits of it here and there in the pictures we were taking but I’d love to go back later this week when it’s cloudy to take pictures of just the art. Where is this art? It is all of the boarded up windows for the shops that have temporarily closed down. There were artists there working on the paintings while we were there and it was so much fun to watch them create their paintings!
Here’s what we came up with while we were there. Don’t worry, we didn’t get within 6ft of anybody and we mostly stayed in the car…just jumping out for a moment or two at each spot for a picture. It just felt so good to collaborate and create some images of our own!
I even jumped into a picture too!
