This years Husky team was a bust. Ugh…terrible season that we absolutely don’t need to rehash or think about ever again. Our card usually reflects how the season went but we’ve had enough down years that I’m tired of figuring out a nice way to say ‘we stink’. So what is a creative to do?

Dig a little deeper and look beyond the season. This year Kate was accepted for admission next year at Washington State University. We are so thrilled for her…every day but Apple Cup day. That is the day our beloved Huskies play her new team and our huge rival…the Cougars. This seemed like the perfect year to play with our new family dynamics.

When we originally ordered the card out we had a funny little blurb about how both teams needed new coaches. Of course that was out of date by the time they were mailed because both teams hired coaches immediately! Also, thinking about it we have a MUCH better option to go with our inside phrase. AND if I’d thought of this earlier I would have made an appearance on the card for THE FIRST TIME EVER!

That is why I am submitting to you an alternate ending for the blog post. This is how it REALLY should have been sent out. Too bad we can’t have an alternate ending on the season!

Merry Christmas to all! This will be the last blog post of the year. I’m taking a break to play in the snow and watch movies with my kids.
