Our school likes to keep celebrations low key so the teachers have come up with creative ways to honor kids’ birthdays. Kate’s class makes drawings for the birthday child and they are put together in a bound book with the front page being a letter from the parents. Kate had no idea what I was going to say and she actually didn’t know most of the stories I told in the letter. She was beyond excited. She could hardly wait for her special day.
There wasn’t much direction with regards to the letter but I can tell you for sure that I wasn’t going to be the slacker mom who didn’t write enough! Here’s what I came up with…
Holy moly that goes on forever! Well I’m not done yet because now you need to see my favorite birthday pictures of the birthday girl. Love you kid!
PS – No her ears aren’t pierced. Kate likes to be fancy so she put stickers on her ears!
