You know how when you pass a car accident you can’t take your eyes off it? You are looking at something scary but you just can’t turn away? That’s kind of how I feel about these pictures. I can’t look away from them because I know how much fun the girls were having but they scare me for the future. (I did NOT ask them to pose. This was all their own doing.) We now have a shotgun, loaded and ready, by the front door.
Ellie and Kate dressed up for Hollywood Night at our Wednesday church group. They had so much fun picking outfits and doing hair, but having makeup applied had to be the best part. Kate was all about the over the top eye shadow (I don’t have any over the top colors so she opted for multiple applications) and dark lipstick, but Ellie wanted to make sure it looked good so she went subtle. There was a red carpet at their dinner and the group game was coming up with new awards to give out at the Oscars.
Spike turned into a pumpkin on the way home and the girls happily stripped off the fancy and snuggled up all fresh faced in their flannel jammies. Just the way I like it!
The girls were surprised at how long their own eyelashes were. They are so blonde at the ends that normally you can’t see them, their amazing length was obvious when I applied a little mascera. Thank you Nana!
