For Ellie’s day out we went to Bellevue Square. She needed some shirts, a rain coat and some ‘intimates’. We did well on all of those things. In fact, we did so well that we even found her a dress for Homecoming. And since it was on major clearance she can splurge on the shoes. And we all know how much she loves shoes!
She picked Red Robin for lunch. Apparently Ellie and her coworkers were rating the best French fries and they decided that 5 Guys were the best (naturally) but Red Robin were a close second. So we enjoyed our bottomless fries. (Which is such a misnomer because it sure doesn’t make ME bottomless when I eat them! I digress…)
She claims she was not ready for my questions but she knew that ‘I don’t know’ doesn’t cut it and I’m very patient. Here are her answers…
What are you most worried about? Ellie is most worried that she won’t see her friends enough. She will be doing Running Start (classes at the community college) part time so she will only have the last two periods at the high school. That means she won’t be riding to school with Amanda and Aubrey every day like she has for the past three years. It also means she won’t get to see Jessica either. She will just have to be more intentional about meeting everybody for lunch or planning fun weekend nights. My introvert will have to put herself out there more. I know she can do it!
What are you most excited about? Ellie has decided to skip over the excitement for senior year activities and she is really most excited about planning for going off to college. She’s excited to find a roommate, outfit a dorm room and plan for next summer. I don’t blame her. I’m a planner too!
This is going to be an exciting year. Dances to go to, friends to connect with and futures to plan for. We are so proud and excited for her. She’s got this!
