Wait…school has started again? How can summer be over? Didn’t it just start? This summer was honestly the first summer I didn’t want to end. (Except I don’t like the heat…so I’m happy with the fall weather…just not the kids being gone.) I guess I’m in luck, though, because we are slowly transitioning into this school thing.
Kate started yesterday in 9th grade. She is so ready for high school! Ellie is doing part time running start at the local community college. She will only be at the high school for the last two periods of the day and the mornings will be a the community college taking classes that will count for both high school and college credit. BUT, the community college doesn’t start for a couple weeks. So Ellie will only have two periods of class a day for the first few weeks. And Jill? Her sophomore year at Western doesn’t start until the end of September.
So really, we are just leaning into fall instead of jumping in with two feet. That means that in between all of our work schedules we still have time to play board games, go for hikes and enjoy each other’s company. I think I’m going to like this schedule!
(No pictures of Jill yet because she hasn’t had a ‘first day’!)
