As a parent, have you ever looked back at your photo albums (Or photo boxes in my case. I’m just not that organized!) and wondered if you were actually AT any of those moments? So often it is one parent who is committed to making sure the family moments are documented, but that often means we are left out of those pictures.
Don’t get me wrong, selfies are fun. As a family we LOVE the challenge of getting all five of us adult sized people into one little frame…all while holding the camera at arms length! But selfies are limiting. While I was looking through my pictures from the last couple of years I realized I have very few pictures of me and my girls and now that they aren’t all living under our roof (gulp!) our opportunities for taking those pictures are not as plentiful. I take these pictures all the time for my Soulumination families because I know how much these legacy pictures are treasured. Why do we have to wait until somebody gets sick to have these taken? (I’m too heavy…my hair is too gray…We don’t have the right outfits…none of these are great reasons when your kids want to share a picture of their parent with their own kids in 2o years!)
As a part of my Mother’s Day wishes I had my girls step into the backyard with me and I put Mr. Fun to work behind the camera. I love what he captured! (Including the picture of the photobomber.)
I also had Mr. Fun take some pictures of my sister and I and all of our babies. Just couldn’t resist!
