Twenty two years ago Allen and I went on a little ski trip to Silver Mountain. We went with a bunch of college friends and stayed in a run down house in a run down town and had a blast. It was so much fun that we all decided that we should do that every year!
And we’ve stuck with it. Every year somebody steps up to the plate to plan the next year and we go someplace different. At the beginning we mostly picked places that we could drive to because we were all just out of college and feeling poor. Now we can try some bigger and better and farther places.
Early on it was decided that kids would not be allowed. This was our chance to reconnect with each other and ski as fast and hard as we want. Not only that, but we want to go out to nice restaurants that don’t have chicken nuggets on the menu!

We have missed only three. (Two because babies had been newly born and one more because of my Dad’s illness.) That’s a pretty good run and a whole lot of fun!
