This year’s holiday card must have hit just the right nerve because we sure did receive a lot of texts about it! The final card was actually our second attempt at our holiday card. It was hard to come up with a good theme for the card based on a season that was good…but underwhelming. None of us were excited about our first take on it.
BUT, once the Dawgs trounced the Cougars, our state rival, we KNEW we had to revise our vision. The card came together instantly with that win!
How did we make the actual card? It took about 20 minutes for Jill and I to make the candy apples and 10 minutes to shoot the card. This is Poppy’s first crack at the holiday card and she came through with flying colors. We put a little peanut butter on the back of her apple and it held her attention nicely. (Although she was perfectly happy to sit on that stair with Kate.) What can I say about Cooper? He’s always been my muse. He will do whatever I ask…including balance an apple on his head!
This will be the last blog post of the year. Happy Holidays from my family to yours. Here’s looking to an amazing 2019!
