I have been thanking my lucky stars that Kate is a senior this year instead of last year or the year before. There is a much better chance of having a somewhat normal senior year. The same goes for Hayden since he goes to school with Kate. Hayden went back to school in person the first day he could and he will be going in person this year too. There should be sports and dances and class. He’s really looking forward to that!
What these guys HAVEN’T had is the chance to visit potential campuses. It’s so hard to choose where you want to live for the next four years if you can’t actually go see it. And if you DID go visit, it was a total ghost town. The best time to visit a campus is to see it when class is in session. Um….yeah. Hayden is considering a wide variety of campuses, big, small, religious, not and he’s having to back track and go back to visit campuses again to see if any tickle his fancy. Just like colleges that are going to use different criteria when admitting students (many have done away with standardized tests), seniors are going to have to come up with new ways to find themselves the perfect school.
I really enjoyed meeting Hayden and his family. Here are my favorites from his senior session…
And a few with his family too!
