I meet my clients at beautiful spots around the puget sound based on the type of session they are looking for, the lighting and the weather. I picked Confluence Park, in Issaquah, to start Spencer’s session because I love the bridge that was built in this park a few years ago. What I forgot is that his dad, Brian, was instrumental in fixing this park up. He helps to run the parks department. He’s had a hand in ALL of our beautiful parks around here! I loved hearing the design choices they made in this park. There are mayflies built into the sides of the bridge. If there are mayflies in a creek then it is a healthy creek!
Speaking of creeks, Spencer grew up playing in the creek. His house was right on the creek when he was little. About 10 years ago Brian and Tori moved their crew up the hill and the property was turned into a park so everybody could enjoy the creek. I didn’t realize all of that when I picked this location but I am so happy that I got to capture some of his senior pictures right on the side of the creek!
This family was so neat to watch together. They are all huge cheerleaders for each other. (Perfect for Chloe since she IS a cheerleader at the high school!) Hearing things like ‘Look at that gene pool’ and ‘His face is so attractive’ exclaimed behind me is the best. Brian and Tori were so effusive with their appreciation for their kids. No wonder they are so confident and charming!
