Given the title of the post I bet you were expecting me to write something about Star Wars, eh?  Or at the very least, something about Halloween.  Nope!  I called this post Storm Troopers because this family just BARELY beat a big rain storm.  If Trisha and Janusz had come just 15 minutes later we would not have been able to use this location.  It was already starting to sprinkle when we trekked out into this open lot.  I’m so glad they were willing to brave it, though, because I love how the pictures turned out.  This is the first time I’ve brought clients up here but be prepared to see it again and again.  Loved it!

Have I talked to you all lately about best laid plans?  At least every other week I hear about poor Moms who have planned their photo session day down to the minute.  They plan the clothes and the timing to optimize their chances of getting the best picture.  I so appreciate that but Murphy and his Law often get in the way.  And usually it has to do with naps.   Either Baby is going to sleep late that day and skip their nap (as Mr. Jacob here did) or they fall asleep in the car and don’t appreciate being woken up by a photographer pointing a massive lens at them.  Jacob, though, was amazingly happy to toddle around the field as fast his little legs would go in the long grass and Paige was great about jumping in the shot next to him so we could get some pictures of them together.  (The other thing that routinely happens is one of the kids gets into some sort of accident and either has a black eye or cut on their face.  Thankfully Paige and Jacob were good in that department!)
