Warning – you may want to stop eating while you are reading this post! Back in January Kate tripped while she was walking Cooper (or running Cooper) and landed on her thumb. She ended up with a big black thumb nail. As these things happen, her nail grew and grew until the bruised part reached the top. That was on Monday. Kate was beyond excited because that meant she could bring this ‘thinger’ nail, that was hanging on my a thread (here’s where shivers run down my spine) as her show and tell on Tuesday.
Yes, she was the hit of the class and most of her classmates asked to see it over and over again. That girl sure knows how to attract the boys!
PS- Kind of a banner parenting week at our house as far as preschool was concerned. Not only do we send in a disgusting finger nail as show and tell, but when the teacher asked the kids what ‘W’ words they knew Kate was one of the first to raise her hand. “Ooh Ooh! I know a word! WHATTHE!” (I’m sure she thinks thats all one word, and no, she DOESN’T know what word normally follows it!)
