I’ve had an idea percolating in my brain all summer. I knew I wanted to do a photo shoot with my girls and the vintage cameras I’ve been collecting. (I have to admit that I have no idea what model cameras there are or how to use them, I just love the way they look and the bright red Kodak on them!)
It all came together last week when I found the location (thank you Karen) and found an open day. All I had to do was pull out some of their new school clothes, get a few haircuts, force my girls to do their hair my way, get myself pulled together, put an outfit together for Mr. Fun and get us all out the door without being sweat balls. That’s it, right?
Turns out that all of that was easy compared to contending with the faces my middle child has started making. It seems like every time I look over at that kid she is making some sort of goofy face. Even when she doesn’t know we are looking! Well it wasn’t any different at this shoot. I took more than 900 pictures (yes I am a horrible over shooter) and 878 had Ellie making a goofy face.
It’s just a phase…it’s just a phase…it’s just a phase…
It doesn’t matter because, as it turns out, I have way more pictures that I love than I know what to do with. In the near future I will share my cool new iPad program that is helping me decide which pictures I will print. A fun new toy!
Here are my favorites…
One more that the girls got of us…
