The 4th grade’s second, and final, Market Day was on Wednesday. Ellie named her store Ellie’s Bands, Barrettes, and Buttons which fit it perfectly. A month ago we spent one rainy Sunday (we have so many of those to choose from) shopping for supplies (She has a $20 limit so the dollar store was our first stop.) and designing and gluing and sewing to our hearts content. I love a good project and I think it is fun that my kids do too!
She sold most of her wares (There were a couple of barrettes that came apart. Apparently I need some quality control on the glue gun!) and she had plenty of time to shop. In fact, I pulled Kate out of class so she could do a little shopping too. We purchased magnets and owls and flip flops and notebooks and book marks and Father’s Day gifts (shhhh… don’t tell Mr. Fun.), and even a knit ear muff that will come in handy if the summer weather keeps up as it has.
School is coming to a close and there are a ton of things to be done before we get there. And then there is a ton of relaxing to be done AFTER it gets here. Don’t be surprised if posts are a bit spotty through the end of the month. It’s not that I don’t love you, Internet, it’s just that I will have to get used to having three more humans all up in my business for the next three months. Once we all adjust I’ll be back on track. Promise!
