Last Friday night I found myself driving one girlie here and rushing back to bring dinner and a movie to another girlie who was waiting at home while Mr. Fun had the third girlie at soccer before dropping HER off to a birthday party. Then I had to do a reversal and pick up girlie #2 and her friend from church before picking up girlie #3 at her party and meeting Mr. Fun back home in time to say goodbye to girlie #1’s friend and hustling them all into bed before I collapsed.
That all seemed pretty challenging until I took pictures of Amy and Jeff and their crew. As much fun as it was, there was a lot of chasing and negotiating and chasing and tickling and teasing and coaxing to get one year old Quinn and three year old Addison to get into the same photo. Watching Amy and Jeff carry one kid on her hip while held held another kid’s and both of them juggling hats and shoes and brushes was impressive.
I take it all back. Hands down I will take a full night sleep and an evening playing taxi driver any day. Amy and Jeff, it does get easier. Honest!
