Remember how I said I was putting Kate’s pictures off last week because the weather was terrible? I woke up yesterday to the sound of a water hose spraying against my bedroom window. That’s how bad the wind and rain was. It didn’t get any better in the afternoon so we had to take all of our pictures inside. One of these days the sun will shine and I will get pictures of Kate running and jumping. Promise!
I can’t believe Kate is seven. Honestly, she should probably be 10 or 12. Lord knows she thinks she can do everything her sisters do. (Unless it is chores and then, amazingly, she can’t quite keep up!)
Kate is an amazing skier and is often the first one down the mountain. (She was skiing with at 10 year old class at lessons this year.) She is also a great swimmer and gifted reader. Most nights we have a ‘read in’ before bedtime and she is reading chapter books for 30 minutes just like her sisters
This girlie is also very spirited. She is full of high highs and a few low lows and not much in between. She has big ideas about what is right and what is wrong and lord help you if you are on the wrong side of that equation! The most often comment I get about Kate is ‘That kid always has a smile on her face!’ So true!
Here are my favorites…
And this is a true shot of the goofball that I know and love!
