I always tell my clients that kids that are 18 months up to age 3 are the hardest to shoot. Somehow you have to make the photoshoot their idea. Yeah, right. Sure they want to sit still and be right in the middle of the backdrop at the perfect angle to the window. Not only are they not interested in in pleasing the adults, but it’s quite hard to bribe these little guys too. Promising a treat at the end of the photo session is just beyond their reasoning!
Pauls and Julie came for pictures last Sunday and brought with them their 15 month old Anna and 3 year old Laila. (Just for the record 15 months is close enough if that toddler is a younger sibling!) Yep. They brought TWO kiddos in that tough age group!
Laila told me all about her favorite princesses (Cinderella is the best!) and showed me how to spin in her favorite dress. Therefore we were friends, right? Little Miss Anna was harder to negotiate with. We tried playing her favorite musical egg (a toy from home) and we got nothing. Once we started singing Twinkle Twinkle, she seemed to decide that I was okay. I have no idea why, though. I can’t carry a tune to save my life!
