Usually, while I’m taking pictures, Allen takes the girls off for some out of the house type fun. He used to take them to Michael’s (he’s very secure in his manhood) to do crafts on Saturday mornings but they stopped offering that sort of fun. Now he takes them to Lowes (insert chest thump here) to build stuff. Or he will take them to the park. But here in Seattle the park always needs a back up plan.
On Sundays he takes the girls to church and then sometimes to the grocery store or Costco. That was the plan for last Sunday. Allen is dangerous in Costco. Since he doesn’t go very often all sorts of things seem to make it into his cart as he and the girls graze their way through the stort. (“There’s another snack Daddy! Over there!”) I have to say, though, after working all morning, it was so nice to hear the pitter patter of little feet pounding up the stairs and the girls yelling ‘Happy April 26th!’. Isn’t that great? They got me flowers simply because it was April 26th. Those are truly the best kind of flowers.
So I say, internet. Happy belated April 26th to you!
(Oh yeah. Those strawberries that are as big as my preschoolers head? Those came from Costco too. Isn’t EVERYTHING bigger at Costco?)
PS – I just realized that music has been playing on my blog all week. Sorry folks! I’ve now fixed that!
