Ellie’s soccer season was fantastic this year. The girls have come so far together. Not that the spectators didn’t have fun before, but this year the girls really worked so well together. They actually put together plays to get the ball down the field and instead of playing ‘mob ball’ they stayed in their positions to support each other.
Because the girls have grown up, Judith and Allen (Mr. Fun) decided that it would be a good idea to coach them during the week and try to let them take the lead during the game. That’s a tall order when you are used to yelling ‘encouraging’ and ‘instructional’ type words. So to help with this goal it was decided that the coaches would carry lolly pops to keep their mouths busy for the game. Okay, okay, so it didn’t always work. If you know Mr. Fun then you know how loud he can be. One little lolly isn’t going to hold him back!
To commemorate the fun that was had this year I whipped up a couple of trophies for the coaches. Don’t worry folks, I used banana (yuck) Tootsie pops to make these trophies so no GOOD lolly’s were harmed in the making of the hardware.
Well done Allen and Judith!
