‘They are so lovely’ was what Jill exclaimed right after my cousin Ryan and his new bride Bre had their first kiss. A few weeks ago we spent the weekend celebrating with 46 Jacksons (my maiden name) who descended upon the Seattle area. There were the four brothers (my Dad and uncles) and THEIR four cousins and most of their kids and most of THEIR kids. That adds up to a lot of fun!
My cousins and uncle are big picture people so I knew the weekend would be well documented. I did, however, drag out my camera for the wedding. I just couldn’t resist because we worked hard to pick some great outfits. (Mr. Fun’s was particularly cute!) Here’s a shot of the girls in all their glory. Do you know how hard it is to find a nice, non revealing dress in the junior’s department? Most barely cover their booty and reveal too much barely there cleavage! (Stepping off soapbox now.) I was so happy to find a dress for Jill, but when I saw how well it went with the others I was ecstatic!
And on top of it my own dress matched theirs!
I’m kicking myself for not having a family picture taken. We all looked so good! The girls haven’t seen Mr. Fun wear a suit for so long that they thought he looked just like a secret service agent (because they are so much more familiar with THOSE!).
My brother Tim thought this was funny he had to show us HIS best secret service look too.
One of the reasons we didn’t get any family pictures was because there wasn’t any time. Mr. Fun was drafted to be the videographer. Ryan’s Dad, my uncle Rob, videoed my wedding and put together an amazing video that was way before it’s time. Mr. Fun is the perfect man for the job. He LOVES chatting with people so he was a natural.
Well, if I didn’t get pictures of my own family unit I did get some sibling pictures. It’s been way too long!
I also caught some fun pictures of Joelle’s family. Jack was the ring ‘bear’ and he looked so cute up there in his bow tie.
I also captured Mr. Henry with both Mom and Dad.
After a lovely dinner there was dancing out on the patio.
A fun time was had by all and now I am trying to conjure up a reason to get us all dressed up again. The girls loved the whole ceremony of it, but I’m thinking it would be a bit much for Taco Time.
One more funny shot. This is what Ellie and Kate did the first time they tried on their dresses. They thought was that the net petticoat that went under their dresses was just like what the ugly step sisters wore in Cinderella. Too bad this wasn’t video because the ensuing dance that goes with it is priceless!
