For Jill’s birthday party she wanted to have a day at the movies with her two best friends and dinner at our favorite mexican restaurant. It was so much fun we all had to jump for joy!
Along with Ellie and Kate we took Madison and Henry to go see ‘Hotel for Dogs’. That was an adorable movie about some kids who set up a residence for homeless dogs. Great movie and great message. Jill and I had a fun time putting together Movie Survival Pack goodie bags that we gave out at the begining of the party. (We like to be a little different here in the Enebo household!) Each pack had a bag of Skittles, a bottle of water, a pack of tissues (just in case there were sad parts), a tennis ball and a small stuffed dog. The bags were a big hit except it was was so dark when we entered the theater that Henry never knew about the Skittles or the water so the kid sat through the whole movie completly parched. Oops!
After the movie we met Henry and Madison’s families at Las Margaritas for some din din. Jill thought it was great that we had 14 people there to celebrate her birthday and we (adults) thought it was great that there was a separate kids table. As usual, Las Margaritas goes above and beyond to celebrate birthdays. I brought cupcakes for all, but the highlight is always the road flare that arrives at the table in fried ice cream. And of course the birthday girl must wear the honorary sombraro.
Oh yeah, Judith was nice enough to point out that next year this whole celebration is going to cost a lot more. Gulp! Jill has almost outgrown the kids menu!
