Since I wasn’t on this awesome trip I asked Ellie to write a blog post about her adventures. Here are her words and pictures…
If you could describe The weekend in one word what would it be?
Ellie: Cold
Daddio: Amazing
Our Weekend was both amazing and cold all at the same time! It was amazing because of all of the things you had a choice of doing in New York, plus my dad and I got some one on one time that included of goofing off and breaking into hotels, but that is another story for another time. I described my weekend pretty well. It was record breakingly cold outside we were having to constantly go inside random shops. I mean look at this!
Apparently it hadn’t been this cold in New York since 1888. Anyway, the first night we just scouted out the place which included going to a pizza place to make a plan and going to Times Square.
While walking through Times Square we saw and met someone, who I count as famous. By the way the only reason we actually met him was because I was with my dad (I would have never walked up to him by myself, meaning that I would have been the “Stalker Ellie” and pretended to be on my phone when really I was taking a picture of him…).
The next day we did New York from visiting the World Trade Center…
To seeing wax superheroes!
We also went to see Wicked that night! It was wicked!
On the final day in New York we visited the today show and I shook Al Roker hand! Like FRENCH THE LLAMA! We did not make it on TV but we did make it onto the Today radio…I didn’t even know there was such a thing!
(Oh the stories Allen and Ellie had to tell about this trip. Sounds like a fabulous time and I can hardly wait to go back to New York myself. Lucky Allen that Kate has already declared that she would like to go someplace warm for her Father/Daughter trip in three years!)
