What to say about this quiet funny girl? She loves math (yeah), superheros, orange (the color), fashion, wombats, twix bars and soccer. She often disappears into her room after she gets home from school. I used to worry about this teenagery behavior but have since realized the introvert in her needs decompression time and she is often drawing or has her nose in a book.
She has managed to find a group of friends that are just like her. Sporty, bookish and almost as quiet. At her birthday party I remarked at how silent the group was during dinner and she said ‘ Just wait. Even at lunch we are quiet while we are eating. We will get louder.’ Sure enough the chatter started up as soon as the pizza was finished…and then it didn’t stop for the rest of the night. (Even during the 2.5 movies they watched!)
We had to squeeze this photoshoot into a lunch date with her cousins but I always appreciate her indulging my crazy ideas. (And yes, this girl is now embracing her curly hair. Her hair looks great straight AND girl – lucky dog!)
Happy birthday kid! We love you!
Spoiler alert – those amazing Wonder Woman Converse were her favorite purchase of her big birthday present. This year Allen took her on her special Father/Daughter trip to New York. Stay tuned for her guest blog post next week. So fun!
