I just had to share this picture because it cracks me up.  It actually sums up their relationship perfectly.  Kate adores Cooper with all her heart and soul.  She chases him around giving him massive hugs all day long.  Contrary to how this looks, Cooper actually enjoys Kate quite a bit too.  He puts up with so much because he loves the attention he gets from her.

Occasionally he has to give her ‘the signal’, though.  That’s what we call it when he’s lying there unsuspecting and Kate comes running at him with love in her heart and a mauling hug in her hands.  Cooper doesn’t even bother lifting his head.  He just let’s go a small ‘grrr’ under his breath and patiently waits for Kate to stop.  We always points out that he’s given ‘the signal’ so it’s time to leave him alone.

This saddens our dear daughter but she quickly perks up with the thought of their next loving embrace.
